Korean singer BoA poses for the cover of her sixth album Hurricane Venus set for Aug. 5 release.
Korean pop star BoA has been cast in one of the leads for a Hollywood movie about dancers in New York City, according to a press release from her management company SM Entertainment.
The film will be written and directed by Duane Adler, who scripted Save the Last Dance and Step Up. It will be produced by Robert Cort who made Jumanji, The Runaway Bride and four dozen other Hollywood movies. Adler and Cort had worked together as screenwriter and producer on Save the Last Dance.
BoA will be one of the film’s co-stars. Her role will involve a romance with another leading character who has yet to be cast. Shooting will begin in the U.S. in early 2011.
“BoA plans to showcase a variety of powerful new dance performances,” SM Entertainment said.
