To read your astro map, you first must understand the lines and what they mean.

The major astrocartography lines are as follows:

Sun: Visiting or living near this line will lead to greater confidence, a brighter mood, and a sense that you're at home.

Moon: The moon is all about emotions, therefore, you could feel especially sensitive when you're near this line.

Mercury: The line of the messenger planet could boost your ability to think and communicate.

Venus: Being near the line of the planet of love, beauty, and money can make you extra attractive, charming, and a bit of a magnet for romantic and creative pursuits.

Mars: Because Mars rules action, energy, and sex, being near its line can make you braver, bolder, and perhaps a bit more argumentative.

Jupiter: Living or visiting the line associated with the magnifying, fortune-boosting planet can bring more luck and abundance.

Saturn: The taskmaster planet is all about working hard, setting boundaries, accepting limitations, and committing fully. 

Uranus: The line of the rebellious planet, which brings sudden change, can inspire you to strike out against convention.

The closer you are to the line, within 200 miles or so, the stronger their influence. Additionally, there are four angles that the lines coincide with which represent the domain of life that it takes place in.  The four angles are:

AC (ascendant) Line: expression, personality, appearance, development

IC (imum coeli) Line: home, family, foundations, private life, environment, early childhood

DC (descendant) Line: relationships, partners, collaborators, friends, lovers

MC (midheaven) Line: career, reputation, status, public roles, persona

Babe Ruth, one of the greatest baseball players of all time, had his Jupiter line and Moon line close to his home in Baltimore. This combination of supportive lines meant all his success would be in the Northeast for him. The closer he was to his positive lines the better he would hit there. When he was close to his lines, he hit more home runs and had a better batting average. Further away from these lines he would do much poorer, like in the west coast. 

For former president Barack Obama, his Jupiter and Mercury lines are in his home state of Illinois where his political career thrived.  Obama became state senator and basically won every election he ran in.  His Moon line was in the District of Columbia which is another supportive line that makes people attracted to you.  Therefore, Obama had supportive lines both in his hometown and in DC, assisting him in his two terms as president.  

Finally, the late Pope Francis, where he became cardinal in Buenos Aries Argentina is exactly where his Mercury and Jupiter line intersect.  Pope Francis also had the very same lines at Vatican City in Italy.  Mercury means people are talking about you.  Therefore, the Vatican was aware of him from the beginning due to the same mirroring lines.
