AI Influencers Are Here
By Kelli Luu | 29 Sep, 2025

You may not be able to meet them in real life, but these AI influencers are building huge followings and blurring the line between reality and fiction.

Not all influencers are actual people anymore and some of the fastest-growing names online don’t even exist in real life. Allow me to introduce AI Influencers. They’re digitally designed with curated personalities and they have thousands of real people following them waiting for their next post.

Let’s start with Kyra.

She’s India’s very first virtual influencer and was created by FUTR Studios, a virtual human company that develops virtual celebrities with CGI and AI technology. Her persona embodies a 22-year old girl from Mumbai who models and travels and is intended to be a relatable inspiration to India’s youth. Kyra’s Instagram profile was launched in January 2022 and since then has gained over 239 thousand followers. Her content mainly consists of modeling and fashion posts and has even collaborated with huge brands like Amazon Prime Video and L’Oréal.

Next, we have Naevis.

She’s from South Korea and if you’re already a K-pop fan, then Naevis is not an unfamiliar name. She was created by South Korean company, SM Entertainment, to appear as a member of human K-pop girl group, Aespa, so she was able to leverage some of their existing fan base. Naevis later pivoted to become an independent artist releasing her first single “Done” in 2024 and is known as Aespa’s digital sidekick. With a real backstory and strong K-pop fan culture, Naevis has accumulated over 90 thousand Instagram followers, making her one of the first AI influencers to bridge a fandom with tech.

Then there is Imma.

Japan’s first virtual influencer is pink-haired it-girl, Imma. She was developed by virtual human company, Aww Inc. and since her first Instagram post in July 2018, Imma has racked up over 388 thousand followers on Instagram. Not only do her fans enjoy her sense of style, big brands do as well. She has collaborated with global giants like Valentino and Porsche and has also appeared on multiple magazine covers. Her bright pink bob and kind personality has Imma’s followers completely engaged showing the world that virtual personas can have an influence on trends just as much as humans do.
