Wonder Girls Wow Crowds at MTV World

Wonderful World: The Wonder Girls dazzled a huge crowd with their camp, sexy style.

The Wonder Girls rocked the crowd with their camp, high-energy style at MTV World Stage 2010 at Malaysia’s Sunway Lagoon Resort Surf Beach Saturday.
The concert is one of MTV’s biggest annual global events and the Wonder Girls are the first Korean group to appear at the event. In another first, the Wonder Girls grabbed guitars to perform their latest hit “2 Different Tears.” The audience came to its feet for “Nobody,” the group’s top hit which made the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 2009.

“We wanted to create a new act because we knew this was such an important and rare opportunity,” said group leader Sun-ye. “The passion of our Southeast Asian fans is incredible.”
The six-hour concert packed in about 15,000 to see Katy Perry and Germany’s Tokio Hotel as well as various other groups. The show will be broadcast globally beginning in Malaysia and Indonesia on August 21.
