UFOs Approached Shenzhou-9 Soon After Liftoff
By wchung | 29 Aug, 2025
Two UFOs were seen by millions of Chinese watching the Shenzhou-9 lifting off atop a Long March 2F rocket Saturday evening.
Infrared video footage of the liftoff shows two bright objects approaching swiftly from opposite sides of the rocket about four minutes and 11 seconds after liftoff.
No stars were visible due to the high level of daylight at the launch time of 6:37 p.m., according to researcher Wang Sichao of the Purple Mountain Observatory in Nanjing in Jiangsu Province.
He also ruled out the possibility the objects had been ejected from the rocket because they were ahead of its trajectory. They could not have been birds due to their large heat signatures.
So far no other theories have been advanced to explain the UFOs.

Two unidentified flying objects (UFOs) were seen by millions of Chinese watching the live broadcast of Shenzhou-9's liftoff at 6:37 p.m. Saturday, June 16, 2012.
