Singapore, Japan Among Top 5 Healthiest Nations

Singapore was ranked the world’s healthiest nation by the latest Bloomberg Rankings survey.
The survey measures a country’s health by factoring in its average life expectancy, pollution levels, mortality rates, rates of cigarette smoking, percentage of drinkers, blood cholesterol levels, quality of healthcare and other factors contained in data released by the United Nations, the World Health Organization and the World Bank.
After Singapore came Italy, Australia and Switzerland. Japan was ranked 5th, followed by Israel, Spain, Netherlands, Sweden and Germany to make up the top 10.
France was 13th, Canada 14th, Hong Kong 17th, S. Korea 29th, the United States 33rd, China 55th and Swaziland last at 145th place.
