WHAT YOU SAY

You can buy nice houses on big parcels of land in Georgia, Mississippi, or Idaho too but where does it get you. Think about it.

Hacienda Heights, Hemet, Diamond Bar, Victorville, Walnut, Moreno Valley, Glendora, Palmdale, Pomona, Oakland, Vallejo, Fresno, Houston, Brooklyn, Po-doke Wyoming, etc. -What’s the difference?

When someone says Brentwood, Malibu, San Marino, South Pasadena, Saratoga, Mill Valley, La Canada, La Jolla, Los Altos, South Pasadena, Tiburon, Manhattan Beach, Pacific Palisades, Manhattan, etc. you know they are talking about a certain class of people, Asians included. There are Asians who live in these real wealthy areas, you do know that right? Unfortunately children, when you live in a nice area the housing tends to cost more but at least you don't end up with a "poor man's mansion" in places like Walnut, Riverside or Glendora.

Not just anyone can afford to live in real affluent areas. That's what makes them affluent and the best and most sought after places to live in. Hence, more $$$.

And as far as San Marino or Arcadia having too many affluent Whites or snobby Asians, how is that a problem? Wealthy Whites and Asians are a good thing, Poor low class F.O.B.'s as far as the eye can see and no white-collar jobs for miles around is a bad thing. Any Questions? Good!!!

Arcadia isn't very safe, not when the mall is getting robbed half the time....

I think those last comments are very incorrect. First of all, the housing in many areas of Hacienda Heights, Diamond Bar, Walnut, & Glendora is MUCH NICER than those in Arcadia & San Gabriel. The schools there are BETTER than Arcadia's, the homes are bigger and more affordable.
-Walnut, Diamond Bar and Hacienda Heights all have asian majorities
-Arcadia still has a White majority & many of the homes are overpriced, old peices of junk.

I agree with you. Your so called real SGV geographical region is like a wealthy Asian Westside or Westwood East. Good Observation.

If you are an F.O.B. with no money or are just plain unsuccessful move out East to the boonies which include cities like Hacienda Heights, Walnut, Diamond Bar, Chino, San Dimas, Pomona, Riverside and now Glendora etc. They are all pretty much the same in people's eyes. All Asians out there speak broken English or are bigtime loosers, thus there are no REAL jobs. Only failures live out there who try to pass the area off as being part of the real San Gabriel Valley.

Only Asian immigrants with some clout or 2nd generation wealthy established Asian families, usually Taiwanese or Honk Kongers, can still afford to live near Los Angeles in the REAL SAN GABRIEL VALLEY which includes safe and clean cities such as: San Marino, South Pasadena, Arcadia, La Canada and the Northern portions of San Gabriel and Alhambra. It's not like people don't know this.

Even a shiney new home with a leased BMW out in the boonies will not hide the fact that you live amongst a lesser breed and are 2nd class. DEAL WITH IT!!!
