How interested are asian men in black women? I am a black girl from Jamaica and we have a few Jamaican Chinese and some of them are cool and others just mind their business and stick to their own. I guess I am not really sure as to how they really see us Island girls...

I have found that Asian men are intimidated by black women and for good reason. Culturally blacks behave and respond a little differently than Asians who tend to be shy. Being that our media has for the most part desexualized Asian men and OVER sexualized Asian females PREPORTING WM/AF pairing to an unnatural and gross degree of course an Asian mans identity would be shaken.
They have been as effected by the white media in their way as much as black people have.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that american men love large breasts...
Of course, I think african american women on the average have a good size...

I'm an asian man who has and is currently dating a black woman. It's difficult since I have to deal with all the stereotypes that asian men have to go through along with being in an interacial relationship. I've had a problem more with black men than asian women - the comments I've expereinced always involved the notion that an asian man was inferior to a black man. But everyone has an opinion about any interacial relationship.
As for the matter of breast reduction, i could understand why he said that. Asian men for the most part do not prefer voluptous women IMHO. i would guess that would relate to the asian women we've encountered in our lives - most are slim and small.
"An AM trying to make a woman out of a BW"??!!! This is the first time I've ever heard of that. Who would really waste their time trying to change someone
Let me point out a statistic from times magazine about a month or 2 ago that stated that the rarest interacial couple is from an asian man and a black woman. Two of the races and sexes to go through so many lables. What does everyone think about this?

Peace and Happiness:
i am an african american woman who was raised in asian culture most of my childhood. what i see alot amongst those black men who interrace with white women is that their children mostly identify with their black father more so than there white mother. halley berry is a perfect example. i think your daughter is simply doing the same except that her father is a "colored man", but of a different nation.

Azn Romeo,
Your story sounds really romantic and sweet. Neverending Dreamz. But why can't you and her work something out between the two of you? Why live in the shadows of "What it could have been" or "What it might have become"????
Why not just really talk things out with this person. It would really be a shame if you go on through your life never reall knowing if you two were star crossed loves ... soulmates ...
"The saddest words through song and pen ... are the words of what could have been" ...
Think about it. What is so romantic about not ever knowing? Yea, it looks real cool in the movies. But in reality? It's not the same.

Azn Romeo,
Have you ever read or seen the play "Love Letters"? Fantastic play but really quite sad. What you are going through is just what the lovers in this play went through. They were each others true love, but because of circumstances they never married so they never got to explore a committed union or actualize the potential of their love. However, they did remain lovers throughout their lives even when they were married to others/had other significant others, or were kept away from each other because of the great physical distance that was between the (at one point she had moved away to Europe).
Also, Diana Ross and Berry Gordy share a similar situation. You may do very well to check out Diana's biography. They profess to be each others true love but they cannot be together because of the different paths that they are on. It's always something, eh? Now that they are on the mature side (age wise), I wonder if they find that it was worth it to not be together. They both have been married several times if I am not mistaken, probably in hopes of filling the void. When they get to the end of their lives, I wonder if they will feel that they should have spent as much time as they could have with each other.
Be it different paths, people, things, places, etc., if true love is important to you, find a way to be together with the one you love. I've never had true love, but when I do find it, I am not going to let it go without a hell of a good plan to keep it! Hopefully, eventually you two will find it easier to be together than to be apart, regardless of your paths. =:?)>

Hold it,
Surgery for breast reduction? For her boyfriend? No!
Any woman in her right mind should know better than that! No woman would do that just for a man!
There was even a story about how one woman changed her looks for her husband. After she did what he said, he dated another woman that looked just like her before the makeover!
And any man in in his right mind who loves his woman wouldn't do that sort of thing.
The only time a woman would have to get breast reduction would be if it inconvenienced her (healthwise, not man wise!)
Wafflestomper stomps again!

Winnie your cousin's Asian boyfriend is in the minority of men. Most men encourages their women to get bigger breasts not smaller ones. Big breasts are seen as making women sexier, more desirable and more feminine. Men love big breasts and breasts in general, if they didn't, eating establishments like Hooters wouldn't exist. Men can be selfish because breast implants and breast reductions are risky surgical procedures. Your cousin should find another boyfriend if her boyfriend won't accept her the way she is.
